Labour Day Weekend Traffic Tips for Paris ON

With the Paris Fair and Labour Day Weekend rapidly approaching, this is a friendly reminder to everyone: Paris is a busy place!

Downtown Paris and Grand River Street N are almost always busy, especially on weekends.

The Fair is on this Labour Day Weekend September 1-5, which means the Fairgrounds and Grand River St N will be even busier, but there is yet another wrinkle…

Market Street is currently closed due to construction

Note: Despite the giant hole in the road businesses along Market Street like Wright’s Variety and Tito’s Pizza remain open and are eager to see you! Tito’s is accessible via Brydges St (and delivery is available) for pizza and really good wings! Wright’s Variety is accessible via Franklin Street (save me some Ben & Jerry’s!). Let’s support our neighbourhood businesses while they deal with this construction!

Please be prepared for a LOT of extra traffic congestion through downtown along Grand River Street North, and along Silver Street while the Fair is on.

If you want to visit our wonderful downtown merchants or the Fair, please be patient and allow extra time.

If your plans involve passing through downtown to get somewhere else, this would be a time you might wish to use a bypass route.😉❤️
