Here is an example of “sometimes you just have to say no”.

This application made a lot of sense on paper, seemed to fall “within the requirements” of the commercial designation for the property. However, if you are familiar with the intersection of Paris Road and Oak Park Road and the houses that are in the area, the idea of a very busy gas station, convenience store and drive thru restaurant has the potential to be very disruptive, especially from a traffic perspective.

I’m in favour of new commercial enterprises in the County, we just need to make sure that they fit the proposed locations appropriately.
